 I have just recently begun learning how to use a speedlite. To the best of my recollection this is the first time I've entered a challenge using this form of light. The emphasis, of course, is to feature the shadow as part of the negative space opposite the man, who is the subject of the photograph.

I think my processing of his face is a bit too plastic-like. I rarely photograph people, so I have plenty to learn on that front, too.

I really like the shapes and textures here, but it does look like the focus was set on the wall and not the man's face. Still so visually strong it's a 6 from me, would probably have been 7 or 8 if the man's face was fully in focus.
