This is at the spectacular Red Rock Canyon, just outside of Las Vegas.

The rocks are naturally textured that way. I also think it sort of looks like wood. Or slabs of meat :)

I too thought this was a piece of rough sawn timber; what an incredible place and you've captured it perfectly. The scale drawn by the inclusion of the people is awe inspiring. Where is this?

I really like this. It reminds me of places I really enjoy, and the textures you've highlighted in the rocks are fascinating. The two guys also really work well to give it scale and are positioned nicely.
