 The sheer detail and acuity of this sensor combined with the Zeiss glass is just stunning. This was done at ISO 400, for no particular reason except that I hadn't reset from an earlier, lower-light shot, and it doesn't seem to make any difference, Shadow and highlight detail both are stunning. No processing beyond the RAW adjustments, and very little of that even. No crop.

Amazing camera.

Colors and detail are great. My first digital was a Sony Mavica. It was excellent with colors and macro shots. After that I tried the 707 but it didn't equal the Mavica in those qualities. Looks like Sony has got the magic back with this one.

Whaddya mean, Week 2?? It's only the 6th!
I'm very pleased to read all your rave reviews of the camera. My poor little Sony will give out one of these days - I give it quite a work-out - and I'll keep this in mind. Do you think my old lenses would fit it? I really have not done any investigating . . .
