John, adventurous compositions, I like 1 and 6 the best, the shadow play on the window is great. I hope the dog recovered from overeating! :)

Only you could come up with all these different angles, shadows, and POV that make you wonder, sigh, and raise an eyebrow or two!

Good job on this :)

this essay moves from absence to presence, and a beautiful journey it is. As marnet would say, very "positive"

Home. For me, this essay is about home. Yours looks comfortable, warm and inviting. I like your POV, use of lines, and of course the dogs. Always a treat to see summer photographs while we going through winter here in the US ;-)

You ever think of adding words to your essays? Not that they are needed but I'm always interested in the choices we make. The diversity in story telling technique is a very attractive aspect of this genre.

Crikey, this is a beautiful photograph! The elegance of your eye sings so sweetly.

The essay is lovely and loving. Shadows are a few of my favourite things. And the delicious caramel tones are beautiful. Perfect key for this music.

The first and last photographs are also perfect as a pair of loosely matched bookends.

It's never less than a sensual pleasure. Thank you.

Perfect cover photo for this lovely essay. Gave me hints of the lights and shadows to follow. And they did follow, with each image bathed in beautiful soft light, intriguing shadows and of course the sweet dogs.
