 A stray puppy that we found wandering loose in the streets on a recent trails ride. As my bike had the humongous seat bag, the puppy rode back with me. He slept for most of the 20 mile ride back to the start, but got restless for the last 5 miles, whining and nuzzling my butt a lot.

This little thing was a totally adorable people lover. I don't think my cat would have liked him much, though.


One of the group took him home and named him "Kona", which is a bicycle brand and also sounded like a good dog name.

I don't expect this to perform exceptionally well with the collective opinion of DPC. Maybe a mid to high 5 if the wind is at my back. I think it is good, but more snapshotty in nature than the artistic or dramatic scenes that tend to do well. I think it is unique though, and hope it will pull in some good comments.

This is one of the sweetest photos I have seen in a long time. I thought for sure it would finish in the top ten.
I am so disappointed in the perpetual cliches that do well here. How often does a puppy fall asleep in a bag behind the seat of a bicycle?
