So happy this image has done well in the challenge, and it is also my first image to be accepted at 1X!

No Way! There are so many better entries than mine. I'm flabbergasted beyond belief here.

All I can say is thanks to all who voted and commented. Such a humbling feeling.

It took forever for the page to refresh, my wife was looking over my shoulder waiting with me. Then it refreshed, and we both said "No way?!?" Too crazy.

I took this image this last Feb in Moab Utah over the Valetines day weekend. We drove out for the weekend and a half day photography class with Jon Fuller. He took us to this spot. It's off the beaten path a ways, so not to many folks know about it. The light really wasn't very good that morning! Some careful processing brought out the details of the rock.

Well Dennis your little bits of detail...turned out to be spectacular!!! It's amazing that when we look at our photo's in "RAW" format then spend a little bit of time on them...they can turn into masterpieces!!!

Congratulations Dennis. Very happy that you took honours with this. When I have better internet and screen I would love to have a closer look at the image but just seeing your name below it says to me its special.. Can only see the thumbnail and the larger view does not even load. Very curious

BIG BIG BIG Congratulations on The Blue is such an Awesome challenge!!!! Don't it make you just Happier than a hot hog in a cool mud puddle on a summer day, to win a challenge that has sooo many great shots!!! I get the electric buzzy all over feeling just thinking about this!!!

Very, very powerful landscape. Cooked up enough in post to really bring up the power and depth, but not so much as to be ridiculous. 10.
