Well, my first attempt at shooting the Milky Way. I think I've a lot to learn on how to do it. Tried a lot of different settings but probably should've upped the iso to get the shutter count down so there'd be less star movement.

Congratulations on the ribbon, Mark. Not bad for a first time at this. No where to go but up...but only by one ribbon, heh. Seriously, though, this is a fine image.
Very nice. The amount of detail you've caught in the galaxy is great, but the stars are just starting to look blurred - I'm guessing about 1 minute exposure on a ~24mm equivalent lens? I really like how you've got what looks like clouds in the water in the foreground.
I love night photography, but I'm not very good at it yet, plan to experiment more every time there's a clear sky around the new moon time though.
