Another "Photo names that make you go 'huh?'".

I took this shot with a DX lens on an FX sensor camera. Not in DX AUTO CROP mode gave me more area to evaluate. New lenses on order.

In RAW, after conversion to Digital Negative, adjusted BLACKS and FILL LIGHT, TEMPERATURE until the ground color was acceptable. I also cloned out an annoying piece of FOD on the spider's back side, then cropped, framed, save-for-web.

I predict 5.0. This was an easy shot anyone could do.

BTW, I didn't kill the tarantula. There's no record of a tarantula ever inflicting a human fatality. They come out every year around October.

Not my sister! Focus on the head is sharp where it matters. Lighting is a bit harsh, which makes the shadows and the legs equally dark on my monitor.
