We are approaching the anniversary date of the government shutdown of the national parks. These areas have been set aside for the people of the United States. We must strongly resist government attempts to restrict access.

Edward Abbey was anti-Government control, as were many of the great environmental leaders. If government has their way, we would be more restricted in our access to the remaining small amount of wilderness. Many younger people do not have a clue about the seriousness of this situation, but I have seen first hand the effort to exclude people from national parks.

With just the quote, it seems almost like a motivational poster. I think a message against some kind of environmental damage, combined with the quote, would have brought some propaganda into it.
