 Abandoned by his mother, his siblings and his friends, this black bear has been left alone to defend himself against his only natural predators… humans.

This frame shows Star's mark on his chest. If you look at my business card, you'll see this is the same bear cub standing up to see better… in 2010. Canon 5Dmk3, Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM, f/5.6, 1/400s, ISO 400, lens focal length 400mm. Estes Park, CO. 07/14/14/ 3:59pm. He's a friend of mine.

Unfair and not objective voting characterized the voting in this challenge. There was one person out of control in the voting thread. Makes me sad to see the site turn so negative.

It's confusing. This iimage is above average and it meets the challenge. But, it's not good enough for some voters.

Standard issue when an entry doesn't meet the challenge IMO. That being said, I do like your work overall and have you marked as a 'favorite' photographer (from some time ago). I just didn't see a cute, cuddley bear as "Abandoned".
