 This county is named Hendry County, and the City of LaBelle where I live is named after Capt Hendry's two daughters Laura, and Belle. Laura was my great grandmother.
Capt. Hendry was a very active pioneer in this area, who at one time owned 36,000 head of cattle. He was also quite active in politics.
This house was built about four years before he died. It's a century old this year.
Short biography, FA Hendry

I don't expect much of a score with this one. It was raining, so I shot it from the seat of my vehicle. It's just a neat family heirloom so I wanted to share it for this challenge. The city owns it now, and residents use it for benefit picnics, weddings and other community events.
