The Parthenon temple, dedicated to the goddess Athena, placed on a little hill known as Acropolis.
Its marble is from the Mount Pentelicus quarry. Pentelic marble is flawless white with a uniform, faint yellow tint, which makes it shine with a golden hue under sunlight.

I'm not sure how this tumbled so far. I thought it was a perfect subject, well framed and you really got the way the marble glows in slanting light. I figured it was an easy top ten.
