 I didn't plan on entering this challenge, but the evening sun lit up the foliage behind my house a few hours before the deadline and I wandered out to see if there were any critters around. Maybe a tree frog or dragonfly I could catch on the backside of a leaf. No luck with those, but this eastern phoebe perched in a perfect spot 15 feet away. The pose is pretty "blah," but the lighting was nice.

Wow, this was a surprise! I expected a strong "average" (very few low votes or 10s) for color appeal and nailing the topic, which I got, but I figured 6.7 would wind up around 6th place. Thanks!

Agreed. I hated that title, too, but it seemed more appropriate than "Random Mental Block Induced Bird Term 1 minute Before Deadline." I had the same issue in Historic Landmark, unfortunately.

Move along, folks, nothing to see here. Just another entry from Shannon he didn't intend that ends up ribboning. ;)

Lessee ... I think that's two in the past two weeks!

Edited: I realized that people who don't know me might have taken what I said above as snarky, but actually, Shannon, you're an inspiration. The ease with which you create incredible images is what I strive for.
