The windows at my church always remind me of my special and favorite quote "People are like stained - glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within." Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
This is at my church and the most popular part of it is the alter window with Jesus at the garden of Gethsemane. During the morning service when the sun hits just right, you can see the glow from the sun in the clouds and in the stained glass. Usually the moods and shades hit with the moods of the sermons.
My church has all stained glass windows throughout the church and in the sanctuary with the old testament windows on the left and the new testament on the right, when you leave the church's sanctuary and look up near the balcony, you will see Jesus for the future in the book of Revelation where he comes back to collect his children in the clouds and we all get to go home.
The church to me is very inspirational and the beautiful work put to it. |
