 A trio of American Avocets, Recurvirostra americana. Lake Estes, Estes Park, CO. This is a very photogenic bird. They are migrating to summer nesting grounds north and west of here. Canon 5Dmk3, Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM, f/5.6, 1/4000s, ISO 400, lens focal length 400mm., 04/14/14 4:18pm MDT.
