Are we talking about those blobs on the wores? Aren't they those orange balls the place on wires to make them visible tobirds or planes, or something...? |

Definitely not bad weather. There were hardly any clouds in the sky, no wind of any note. It was mildly cold (about 25°F). This was in Monte Vista, CO near the Monte Vista National Wildlife Refuge. Google Map of where I was parked. |

Long exposure, high ISO.... hmmmmm there can be weird effects. But........ across the frame. The fact that these blobs all intersect a power line is very interesting. I believe your supposition that the camera is seeing light we can't see may be true. Or it could have been a momentary thing captured by the long exposure. Where exactly was this photo taken? I suspect these lines are very high voltage lines.
I have seen something like this but it was ball lightning following a power line. There was a raging T storm going on at the time. This doesn't appear to be the case in your shot. The ball lightning was green...... |
