 I took a photo of foliage through a magnifying glass, so that it was just a blur, then I put the SD card in my TV and used the image for my background and light source. The bottles are all various shades and intensities of green to start with, not just tinted by the background. The tile they are sitting on is actually black.
Actually it was a long process. I'd already shot a lot of possibles and submitted one using this process, but thought to be on the safe side I'd better get a new photo for the background so I did it all again. Although I think it would have been okay under the existing works of art rule.
