|No time to spend on shooting for a depression challenge subject. I don't care what DNMC score I get. It's not good to wallow in sadness and self pity. At least I'm not going to go there with my photography.
Finally, the early vanguard of Mountain Bluebirds has arrived in RMNP. This photo 03/15/14 3:47pm MDT. They are about six days late. This is due to the amount of snow and cold in place at elevations above 8500'. The bluebird population is going to be cautious because of last year's very snowy April 2013, when we received 80" of snow between 3/24/13 - 5/1/13. Hopefully, things will be normal in 2014. Canon 5Dmk3, Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM, f/5.6, 1/2500s, ISO 800, lens focal length 400mm.

Photographing beautiful birds in nature is one way to cope with depression. In that way, this is definitely not a shoehorn. It would be much more unnatural for me to stage a posed shot with someone appearing to suffer from depression.
