This was what I had in my mind at the beginning:

But I was afraid that this kind of bokeh could be mistaken by voters and to tell the truth the image I submitted was lit better, that's why I chose this one.

Bokeh has been created using Christmas decorations. My body was lit with a soft box (only continuous light, flash didn't fire).

Everyone can get what he/she wants from this image. I can say that it's my personal - not nice - story about religion and armaggedon and whatever you can find in it...

I so sometimes wish there was a ribbon for 4th - especially in this case.
A truly wonderful image. When I saw it during voting, it just blew me away. I was sure it would win.
Love your work, Alex.

Nicely lit with great shadows on the man. The bokeh add to the story.

And you win.
If it wasn't for the bokeh on your arm, there'd be now way to differentiate if this was foreground or background bokeh, and I would have slammed this entry.

Create a photo in which bokeh is effectively used, but in the FOREGROUND of the image. Most entries completely fail the first part of description. It's only due to that fact am I giving this a ten.

Have a good one Alex, looks like I'm getting the boot again.

I want to know why he has dirt all over him, just curious!

And when you say doomsday book, which one, there are so many these days.

This image made me stop to find out what you might be conveying. Very imaginative use of the light bokeh which looks like time passage to me before I even found out that I must see this movie. I sure hope you just rolled in some dirt. High mark.
