There is something about these two trees at this busy "downtown" intersection that I find very appealing. They are fortunate to have been spared the necessary, but sometimes ugly pruning that occurs when trees like this are too close to the overhead power/telephone lines etc.
I shot this from the car while sitting at the traffic light. (PS No cars were waiting behind me!!). The image had to be skewed quite significantly in processing to correct the distortion from shooting at this angle.
Makes you wonder what trees might think, if they could think, about being stuck in the middle of concrete and pavement. Would they enjoy seeing the cars as they go by each day, and serving as the stopping place for birds and squirrels? Or would they miss the quiet of a more tree-like home?
