Another shot in my "dumb crap I finally shot at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday" series. This is one that was inspired by one of my favorite Far Side cartoons. Earlier in the week I had planned on replicating that cartoon more to its true form, which included a side mirror on a car. Time didn't permit, and the more I thought about it, the more I liked the title with a giant eyeball anyhow... :)

IMHO this lacks originality, since we've seen more than our share of eye macros in DPC. I wonder why you chose B&W, loosing the color of the iris. There seems to be a contact lens in place, ¿why keep it?

I don't get the humour part, but I like the close up. Jacko.

Very well taken macro, great details! (looks like contacts and a little irritation!) (also sort of a joke - where's the printed message at the bottom of the frame?)
Good job! 8 Swash

Looks like the contact is slipping. Good Closeup.

Nice tight focus. The glare on the bottom left is a bit of a distraction though. I don't think I've ever seen a contact lens that close up! LOL

It's a pretty nice shot, but alone, it's not really funny. With the title is is kind of funny. I'm being pretty laid back with that, so not a huge deal. The focus and clarity are good. I think that the crop is too tight on the right. I'd personally like to see those last few lashes. Those are usually the most impressive, and longest, and I think that it would enhance the good focus to see those crisp lashes. Lighting looks good for the shot. i like the catch lights. Nice detail. Good luck in the challenge.

without the title there is no humor in the photo... and I am not even sure there is humor with the title... sorry,

I'm not sure that this photo makes me laugh, although the title helps a bit. Great macro shot, though and very appropriate for b/w.

I think a Far Side cartoon did this same idea. Very funny!

The idea is Okay, looks a little over exposed.
