 My brother and his lovely wife, on a camping trip to San Elijo in southern California. I truly enjoy the camping trips with the Mission Viejo gang... we have a blast. And the food is awesome.

So many people use the term "snapshot" derisively. Snapshots are the lifeblood of photography. Without 'em you don't have memories. And they can be very amusing, with trees growing out of peoples' heads, tilted horizons, dogs' butts... you get the picture. :-)

Love the comments. Thank you all so very much! My brother and his wife are great sports about this - they know it is entered. They know exactly which picture it is because they, and several of their friends, have this picture in their calendar for this year. :-)

The final result? I tied last year's finish at 7%!

Great randomness. You may have encapsulated the american dream, a beer, a dog, the beach, some cleavage, a sunny day... Viva La Snapshot!

Good monochrome treatment but I'm a little lost on the story here. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but the "half dog" made me laugh.
