Ok so this sucks more than I imagined it would...

First off the "gone" puddle did not show up near so well as I hoped. The lighting that I tested prior to the shoot suddenly wasn't working... And I couldn't get the angle with the lens that I wanted. Was using a 15mm, then to 35mm, then ended up with a 24mm.

The lighting is all off too.

On a positive note, the homemade ice cubes came out ok I suppose. I went earlier today to get ice from the fridge and they were not a good shape... the modern sliver cubes. So I downloaded a cube pattern, printed it on cardstock and folded it up. I lined them with saran warp/cling film and filled them with water, leaving one partially filled for the second cube. Apparently plastic wrap is not leak proof, so I checked them and saw they were losing volume slowly... so I had to keep adding water too them and let them keep freezing... finally these two came out ok.

Oh well... I entered and I think with more time I could have gotten better results.

Doh! I should have used a longer focal length and gotten farther back... ugh.

Was sitting at an awesome 6.570 or so about midway and then the tanking began... Dropped to a 6.11 and then climbed back into the 6.2 as often happens near the end... but has been dropping and might actually not hold the 6 after rollover in 10 minutes...

simple, effective. Might work better as a single block, and avoid 'puddle' on right
