| I used to fish off those islands out there, for big halibut. Took a boat from Oxnard, overnighted. Blast from the past! |

| I agree with the layers comment. Almost takes you through the image in steps. Not sure about the yellowish sky though. |

| Nice layers of content - someone said that recently on one of my entries and I liked it :) Really, though, the sand, breaking water, smooth water interrupted by another breaking wave, smooth water dotted with swimmers, sky - lovely background for this determined figure. |

| The first thing I notice is the sunshine, low and raking across the guy. He seems to be on a mission, walking across the beach, to somewhere. We don't know where, because he's walking along the waterline, not in or out. The third thing I notice is the color of the water, which seems an unusual blue for the wintertime ocean, but it's a nice complementary color for the pinkish orange sand. So it works for me. |

| I absolutely love all of the colour in this, this is dreamy. And I have to disagree with below comment, I really really LOVE the walker in the centre. It absolutely makes this image what it is. Very nice. |

Hah! I recognize Anacapa Island in the background!! Good candid that captures an afternoon on a California beach.
