The images for this story were taken during a visit to Donggang Port in southern Taiwan. While we were there the fisherman brought a nice catch of yellowfin tuna to market. This thriving commercial fishing port was originally opened in the 17th century. It's truly an amazing place for photography.
When cory and posthumous introduced the "Photo Essay Side Challenge" these images came to mind. It was nice to go back and revisit them. Creating something from the sum of the parts, in contrast to concentrating on a single image, has been liberating. So many ways to accomplish this. My story is a classic linear tale inspired by the last picture in the series. I decided to use no text, besides the series title, allowing the viewers to interpret the story for themselves. Enjoy!
