 After I finished peeling some beets/ beetroots I saw the beet man winking back at me. This is a "found object", just as the peelings fell, no re-arranging on my part. After Robert Bear_Music cut up the beets plus some carrots he started seeing Hitchcock hiding in the cutting board. We both cracked up and decided to battle it out for the brown... !

ETA: In case there is any misunderstanding. What I wrote at the time of submission was just a way of saying that we recognized that the two images would not score well. They were not submitted as an attempt to "get" a brown ribbon. I'm enjoying working on abstract images these days and found it intriguing that the soup preparation presented something I could process that way, with the key features of a face "abstracted".

Some days I wish my hubby was "into" photography. That is a great story, AND I love beets 'n carrots both lol.

I love this! I see a lady in red dancing in the upper left corner and I see a man with a hat in the upper right side - he looks like he is sitting on a bench with the moon behind him!! Thanks for entering this! LOVE IT!

Way to think outside of the box, and to go against the norm....but as a portrait I have to give it a 3...sorry.... but I like it for possibly an open challenge.

Although this doesn't really fit in to my definition of a "portrait", I do see a face. I think. Some voters are going to love this.
