Set up in the afternoon and evening using markings on the sidewalk to position the tripod in virtually the same spot. Daylight pedestrian shot in burst mode, night-time in single shot. Daylight specs below, night shot at ISO 400, f/2.71, 1/10 second.

-Tripod, manual mode
-FL 36mm (35mm EQ)
-Stacked daylight images, erased parts of upper layers
-Stacked night shot, deleted part through graduated selection
-Clone-in a little pavement to match color
-Curves through masks and overall
-Resize
-USM at 12%/48 dia/TH = 0
-USM at 66%/0.6 dia/TH = 5 (applied twice)
-SaveAs JPEG at 98% quality = 277KB

The guy with the blue bag kinda works even though he is fading away like that. But the woman in white there doesn't really belong in your story. My opinion:) Creds for shooting both day and night! 6

was going to score it low until i studied it a bit and saw it was Day and night I thought you had your hand in front of the lens at first.I would have liked to see the people at night more solid but you may have been going for that effect. way better than anything i could do but could not go any higher than a 5
