| Thanks folks, I was trying to generate a sense of negative space despite a photographically cluttered scene. It certainly is overwhelming when viewed from out here. Considered in the context of negative space (contrasting elements) she struck me as peacefully and actively embracing the surrounding stimuli over the 5 second exposure. My favorite aspect of this image is the sheltering tree "guiding" her further along despite the lack of a path. |

| I like the details here, the leaning dead tree, the leaf, the way the creek is the negative space. Best brown in a while. |

I get no feeling of negative space from this at all. It's too busy and cluttered and the low contrast black & white doesn't help.

Details: Use the surrounding space of your subject to create the wow of the photograph.
