Love the contrast of the modern wall with the cold, lifelessness of the worn, cold concrete. Stuck between the proverbial rock and a hard place is the man, looking battered into submission by life.

Not the prototypical "empty" negative space, but in my mind, this is valid nonetheless. Suspect the voting masses will not agree. Will be happy with anything over 5.8, but that may be asking for much.

yes. this does use negative space to make a point about isolation. I find the point a bit overbearing, but the photo does have nice texture.

The shimmering steel, depth of the pattern and the grain is superb. The body adds some really nice drama and mystery as well.
