| Holy crap! That's the Lake District? My boyfriend wanted to take me there this summer but I didn't think it was anything really special. Wow. Nevermind. :) |

Critique Club critique:
Composition/Content: Great composition with the clouds above and below the mountain tops. I like that the image includes the ridge and tops of several mountains and that it appears so close. The color is dramatic in that two of the peaks have snow on them and one is a rich brown. You have captured color and detail in the shade, a difficult thing to do. Nice camera angle as it appears that you are above the mountains looking down on them.
Lighting: The lighting is very interesting and dramatic as it tops the clouds and peaks through.
Camera Work/Technical: Good focus and exposure.
Digital Processing: The image appears natural, so if any digital processing was done it was done well.
My Opinion: Great image, one that I would hang on my wall. Powerful and dramatic.

| I really like your picture: I have the feeling I look at a special moment when the clouds that are below just open up for a short time, revealing the mountain. What I like too is that on the left the mountain is iluminated by some warm light in the otherwise cold, icy landscape. The thin line of the frame could have a better color though. Still one of the best landscapes of this very good challenge. Good luck! |

| Great mood and feeling to this image. Very dramatic lighting. Nicely composed. Might have been better if the mountain were not in shadow - but then, it's always easy t control the opportunity for taking such a photo. Good luck! |
