Prediction: this will crash and burn.

Post challenge: I knew this would do terribly. I completed it and entered it because I seriously like it. I knew the DPC crowd would hammer it. Geez, even my mates looked at it and cringed.

And Mark, I'm more than a little sick. If I managed to pull off half the shots that are in my head you'd be very concerned indeed!! ;)

I really like this, Pam. This was a good idea and well executed. I might have omitted the vein, but I suspect that might not have made a significant difference to the folks that didn't like this one.

This is a great thought provoking original idea and that is why you got 42 5's or less on DPC.
Re-shoot this where the plastic of the syringe is also in focus as the vein of sweets and submit it elsewhere, 1x, DPReview, 500px and see what happens... love it, can I steal try honour it? :)
