 These are the real colours of the Purple Crested Turaco of Southern Africa. Except for slight increase in the blue due underexposure, this is as they are. Crazy right? The spectacular red primaries (feathers at wing tips) can only be seen when it is in flight. It has taken me 5 years of chasing in the wild to get a crisp and sunlit BiF of this species as they are shy and wary of humans and are mostly only seen in the forest canopy amongst the darkness of branches and leaves...

Well, Harvey, I guessed it was yours. Is it the same one that flies around in our town? I have tried to capture it, but have only been able to get it in the trees. 8 from me, and I forgot to bump it up. This is truly a perfect shot.
