 My son has needed my car, so I have been riding the train a lot. This was early one morning. I really like this shot, and I am glad that it did well. Thanks for the comments.

What great lighting! It illuminates the two train riders just enough for us to see the silhouette shape of the ladies. One is absorbed in her electric device while the other is reaching for something (purse - seatbelt...?) Great B&W tones that, to me capture, the evening mood of the commute home after a long days work.

This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Bumping from 9 to 10 at the time of making a comment)

Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.

This is one of my 10s - I like it very much. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. Such subtlety - delicate and precise.

2. What a profile! the glinting sun a glorious backdrop.

3. The orthogonal arrangement of the windows.

4. The intriguing urban scenery.

5. The wispy clouds, rich in detail.

6. The secondary subjects adding richness of composition.

7. The phone interaction - a suggestion of a nested story being told.

Brilliant - award worthy, I was tempted to give out two.

I like this shot. It is very cinematic! I look at it and feel as if I am viewing a clip from a movie... and I can imagine the rest of the scene and the musical score that goes along with it.
