The grille "window" (actually a sort of arch with a wrought iron cross through it) is part of a the outside of a church (St. Simon the Apostle). It looks across a narrow outdoor area to the windows to the part of the building and the windows we see in the picture. The foliage, some still green and some in fall colours is just behind the little arch. In post processing I did some colour burning and low opacity cloning to tone down hot areas on the building and window seen through the arch.

returning for comments. This is a beautiful image with good color and great bricks. Somehow it fails to convey the very complex. But the image is well composed and I guess I can see the complexity in the bricks and the construction. 6
