 This is at the Hazard rock area of Route 1A, where rain water and rogue waves make a terrific habitat for bugs and weeds and piping plover.

During vacation, I had very little enthusiasm for getting up at the crack of dawn and carting my gear to a dangerous spot to get a sunrise shot. Late in the week I was up around 4 am, so I decided to set my phone alarm for 20mins before sunrise and head to the rock. But it was raining. So, I decided to go hand held and got out the elastic bands and freezer bags. I went out onto the rock(here is a side view outtake for the warm colors challenge)

It was disappointing because the "sunrise" was hard to detect, but the rain had a great feel to it. I wanted to get some bigger circles in the water, but it was coming down a bit too hard. I corrected the horizon.

I just wanted you to know that this was my favorite entry in the challenge. It's got incredible depth to me. I love the tonality, the composition, and its subtlety. Really beautiful.
