taken in JPG, "Dramatic Tone" added sharpness and noise in lightroom. Tried to lighten the really black areas a little.

This was the last day of a 9 day bicycle trip. I had a train change in Hannover and 2 hrs time. During that time I went around in the city, visiting some parks and famous spots. I took this photo just before heading back to the train station.
My previous entry that won a ribbon after all those years, was taken on the first day of this trip.
I just love my small gear and iPad that can be taken on a bicycle!

Lovely image and use of monochrome but I don't see much graininess. I've found that you lose much of the grain effect when reducing an image from full size to 800 pixels and so have to really exaggerate the effect you want in order to retain it at the smaller size - but maybe the effect here is what you wanted.

Wonderful scene. So many components ... Great b/w and contrast, reflections and gratuitous duckies! Love it!

Those more I look at this, the more it feels like a early 1900s shot. Well done.
