Cropped to seize.
Created 2 virtual copies in Lightroom.
Decreased exposure 1.5 stops on one and increased 1.5 stops on the second one.
Exported into Photomatix and combined the three images.
Reimported into LR.
Adjusted Sharpening, luminance and contrast.
Adjusted shadows.
Preset Blue Hi-Contrast Filter.
Ajsutment brush used to lighten underexposed area.
Resized for DPC.

Hello and greetings. I really think the concept of the image is prefect for this category. Violated is something we don’t want to feel, and seeing a broken lock defiantly invokes that feeling. The placement of the subject is great. I really think the use of the rule of thirds benefits this piece. The lock is immediately the first thing the eyes are drawn into. I am glad you chose black and white; I think color may have distracted the message. Also I think it was great that you were able to have a word like “Defense” appear in your image and show that the thing we rely on to defend us it broken. Overall very nice piece and smooth lines. Keep up the good work.
