 The story of this image for me and to fully understand the title is as follows. I was walking through the Botany Bay National Park and came across areas of rubbish on beaches and in the mangroves that was depressing yet fascinating. The beach where this weathered tennis ball is where Captain Cook landed in Australia and for the indiginious inhabitants this is where there 40 thousand year old culture effectively ended. Hence the title. The end of a culture, the end of a pristine beach and the end of a tennis ball.

I'm hoping that if someone was to spend a bit of time looking they may come up with their own story. However, as this is not a street shot I'm sure it will be considered DNMC within 2 seconds and scored accordingly. There was a lot of emotion with the series of photos I took that day, a mixture of sadness, anger, but also appreciation of finding beauty in what doesn't belong.
