Taken on a cold misty morning at Rietvlei Reserve near Centurion South Africa. Thanks to HarveyG for taking myself and RianBotes around that morning and showing us his "back yard".
I enjoyed it tons especially once my fingertips thawed out.
Shot taken from a bird hide with 70-200 lens @ 70mm. Opened in Camera Raw and warmed the colour temp. Opened in PS CS, and opened in Nik SEP. Used a fairly high structure to bring out detail of mist in front of the reeds and on the water. Opened in PS CS again and masked the SEP layer sky section with a gradient filter. Resize and sharpen. That "thing" in the water is a duck - hence the title...

Lovely colors.
Love the dark contrast against the bright orange and yellow skies. The fog gives it a boost, and is that a turtle in the water, or just a log?
Nicely captured.

Beautiful gradations, crisp silhouettes. Perfect exposure to capture all that and the mist. Beautiful. Might have just cloned out the odd bush at far right on horison (or cropped it out).
