Penalized because people thought you changed the bees color maybe?
Three 1s and two 2s don't make any sense. This is a fantastic image and should have done much better.

Grossly underestimated IMO - So much detail and such an unusual and unique PHOTOGRAPH, right down to the pollen encrusted border. But that doesn't cut the mustard on DPC; Whilst the ribboners are all good images in their own right; dogs, cats and horses are the safe and boring bet here.
Keep surprising and I'll keep voting high.

"Take a photo in which the background is black and the subject is predominately a black as well."

I feel that this does not meet the criteria based on the wording. The subject should have been black before any changes.
