The reflected light (softbox maybe?) in the glasses spoils this for me.. otherwise it has nice light on the face, good detail etc.. just that reflection is too distracting.

I like this photo, just not sure if it follows "Take a photo in which the background is black and the subject is predominately a black as well."
Had this been a different competition, I would have scored it higher.
