I don’t have a wide angle lens to try and capture Robert’s type of landscapes or the boats with plenty of surroundings. I was going to take some topaz’d portraits but once I saw this simple yet colourful nautical subject I thought of Robert and decided this would be it.
Just as important as the image I felt the title needed something poetic as that is just as much his style besides the photography. I found this line from the poem ‘Weigh the Anchor Chains’ by Richard Gildea, which resonated with me and again reminded me of Robert.

This nautical bear can't say he's ever seen an anchor chain stowed in quite such a manner, so it's very interesting to me. The colors take me to Brazil. Nicely seen.
