Finally one clear night. Had to fire this photo through a window. Taken with a Meade 125 ETX computerized telescope and a Scopetronix Digi-T Digital camera adapter which connects the camera directly on to the 26mm eye piece. I love that thing.

It's been croped and sharpened

Wow. Great focus for such a shot. I like your creative take on this challenge theme.

Gotta love those shots. What lens did you use; scope? Good job. 10.

awesome, 10

I always have to envy moonshots because I don't have the equipment to take them. I really would've liked for the curve to end instead of being cut off in the picture at the top left corner, but other than that, it's well executed.

1 question... HOW?
01/18/2003 12:03:42 AM
Wow, that is pretty close. Were you on the shuttle or something? Nice job.

So barren, so cold, so lifeless. I like the way the moon fades into the darkness at the bottom of the frame. If you stare at the image, the darkness seems to almost creep up from the bottom. Very nice job on the overall exposure. 8

I don't know if it's right to describe a moonscape as "atmospheric" but I think its a great shot and the composition/crop works really well.

This is one of the most well done moon shots I have ever seen...
great picture!

Awesome detail. The only suggestion I would make is to consider the composition so that the "lit" part of the moon is in the bottom of the frame, then it would have the negative space to really emphasize the subject.

Awesome!!

OK, it's a landscape. Remarkably sharp photograph of the moon.

Hey , is that my big pimpled butt??? not sure , but a sharper image would clarify that. (Yes I know its the moon)

Great picture. How did you do that? My Son and I got a 200 power tasco telescope for Christmas. I tried to take a picture through the eye piece but it came out pour.

Brilliant

Very nice detail. What did you use to get this shot?
01/13/2003 08:32:59 PM
Wow amazing lens.

Certainly a very original landscape photo. Would have only thought about something like this if I were orbiting in the space shutte. Were you? Or does your telephoto lens have a 1000x magnification? Regardless, I like it a lot.

It is a beautiful image, but the details look to be messed up. Probably because of strong jpeg compression?
01/13/2003 11:17:58 AM
A little pixelated, but still a great shot.

A good try, and not bad focus for this magnification.7
