Mr. Minso, the color treatment totally changes the mood! I think it is powerful. Unfortunately I think the B&W tones made the skin a little pasty and cold. The color shot is much warmer and full of romance. |

I can't post in the forums (and very happy about that!) so I will comment here. To me minimal makes no sense if you are shooting RAW (and I do almost exclusively these days). You have to do some editing in this case anyway. BUT I am personally not trying to document reality and therefore I can see a thousand potential photos in each image. PP can entirely change the mood, can emphasize important parts and hide distractions, can make the same photo project happy or gloomy mood just by changing the colors. As I keep on learning the editing is becoming more and more important to me. I have recently been selecting old photos for printing and rediscovered new photos in old just by changing the edit. So - I agree entirely with you. |
