Great shot, but it says 'magnificent' to me, rather than 'desolate'.

Sorry, but I can NOT see desolation here.

The meaning of desolation is very negative.

devastation - havoc - ravage - destruction - solitude

What you are showing here (although in a static, centered way) is peace, tranquillity and beauty.

I guess it is all in the interpretation and I think I better just NOT vote.
