 Perched at the edge of the Pacific Ocean is the Cliff House, a fixture of my town for ever & ever. It's undergone a renovation that eliminated many of the quirky corners and fun of the structure, but it's still worth a look. The folks who did the renovation left the "Camera Obscura" alone and its still possible to pay a few dollars to view the surroundings the way Leonardo da Vinci did when he described the camera long ago.

H'm. I'm pretty sure I already commented on this one, guess I forget to press the "post" button while investigating some links to the intriguing "Camera Obscura". (Love it) Wonderful rocky view (not common here) and the people on the right gives a nice idea about the dimensions of these buildings.

This looks like an interesting place to explore. As you said, it was probably even more interesting before the overhaul.
