I keep thinking this is too gross for some people (not for me!!) -- but it just tells such a story that's rarely captured. Fascinating and unusual because of it. They may just want the pretty stuff, but I feel pretty strongly that this will really stand out. |

Cracking. Very interesting, and a real sense of connection. Shame it isn't possible to tell what the food is - do the mothers regurgitate?

For the Audobon Society, I'm feeling pretty positive about this one's chances because of the true raw nature aspect of it. I photograph these egrets every year, and even have some where the mom is zooming in to care for the babies, but I've never even seen something like this so close up and real. I mean.. you are RIGHT in the middle of this experience. Amazing capture! |
