 We have this little sand lot baseball team in my town. bragging a little, you may have heard they won a pretty trophy last year. this is the front door now. Because I've lived in this town a long time, I remember the days when they played at Candlestick Park. And when I say "they" I mean Stretch McCovey, Willie Mays, Chris Spier, Bobby Bonds (Barry's daddy) and Juan Marachal - a fabulous pitcher. I'd sit in the stands on a Wednesday afternoon and watch these legends at work. Wow. Oh, yeah. Including the hot dog, it probably cost about $10 for the day.

I love your notes Alice. They give me such a lot more than the picture by itself. Baseball is not big in Australia but plenty of other sports are and I suppose the atmosphere and excitement would be similar. $10 dollars sounds like a lot for a long time ago, what does it cost to go now?
