What I like - slice of life, interesting

What I don't like - subject a bit too centered

This image has caused me to stop and pay attention. That means it is in my 7-10 voting band. (Voted earlier)

Additionally, it is highly interesting/eclectic meaning it keeps me here long enough to offer a longer comment and a vote of 8 or more.

This is one of my 8s - I like it. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. Great street shot - full of life.

2. Beautiful rich coloration that does justice to the great light you have here.

3. A good story being told - I wonder what they are talking about.

4. Great management of exposure and use of your dynamic range - detail in shadows and highlights without compromising the appearance of having effective (and high) contrast.

5. Really good composition within the frame.

So much is right here - it's almost a photography lesson in a single image.

Decent exposure and crop but not feeling much else from this image. The subject doesn't hold my attention and the parrallell lines of bamboo, lead the eye away from the frame. 4
