Very ephemeral. Top 3.

The balloons are colorful and their arrangment is pleasing. But hot air balloons are generally thought of as placidly floating through the air, so they make a poor subject for showing stopped motion.

Not the ideal shot to demonstrate stopped motion. I don't see any though and this is a nice photo.

Hmmm those are not going very fast I think!
But nice balloons photo.

Nice and colorful. Little difficult to tell whether there was much action to start with, but its a nice shot.

A man is flying in a hot air balloon and realizes he is lost. He reduces height and spots a man down below. He lowers the balloon further and shouts, "Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?"
The man below says, "Yes, you're in a hot air balloon, hovering 30 feet above this field."

"You must be an engineer," says the balloonist.

"I am," replies the man. "How did you know?"

"Well," says the balloonist, "Everything you have told me is technically correct, but it's of no use to anyone."

The man below says, "You must be in management."

"I am," replies the balloonist, "But how did you know?"

"Well," says the man, "You don't know where you are, or where you're going, but you expect me to be able to help. You're in the same position you were before we met, but now it's my fault."

The problem for me with this image is that I know those balloons were moving, but not very fast and they're pretty far away from the photographer. That means you could have totally stopped them with a shutter speed of 1/16th of a second or less. To me, stopped motion would have been something that, even when stopped, infers motion - and it probably took 1/250th of a second or faster to accomplish. Just my opinion. Good luck with the challenge.

Hmmm - I don't think there's enough motion to stop to warrant this pic being in the right challenge.

Wow, you must have had quick reflexes to catch that ;-)
Great subject, photo & composition.

Graet placement of the balloons! Nice colors.

Not a good fit for stopped motion since the ballons aren't moving very fast. But it's a great ballon shot. :) May need a little more contrast.

Very nice composition and colour, but I can't say that theres really any motion to stop here.

Hot air balloons simply don't move fast enough to qualify as "stopped" motion. But, the composition of the photo is very good. The lighting is too neutral, however.

Balloons don't generally have a whole lotta motion to stop. Does not get a stopped motion idea across. Nice shot of the ballons.

I absolutely love hot air balloons and their magnificent colors, I just don't think of them as very action packed. This is a nice photo but would better be appreciated in a different challenge.

This is certainly a beauty with wonderful colors. Bumping up.

I like the composition here. Shame that there weren't any clouds in the sky to give more depth and texture to the background.

the idea was not to have motion blur...there is very litte movent in these objects...so I don;t see how they can be "motion stopped"

This is a really pretty picture. There is no motion blur but with air balloons I'm not sure there would be any motion blur anyway. For this reason I fail to see how this fits the challenge in the grand scheme of things.

A nice shot )colours and composition) but the ballons seem to be still and I don't expect they moved a lot before and after the picture.

My only complaint here would be that hot air balloons move so slowly that there isn't a lot of 'action' to be stopped... otherwise, I love this image! Good luck in the challenge!
